Then we did it again, for salons.
A scheduling engine written from scratch — not a plugin, not a reseller deal. Staff availability, deposits, payments, reminders and a real owner dashboard, running live in salons today.
The hard part was the calendar.
Booking looks simple until you build one. A salon calendar has to hold per-stylist availability, service durations that differ by stylist, buffer time, blocked hours, double-booking rules for processing time, deposits that must clear before a slot is held, and reschedules that don't strand the rest of the day.
Every off-the-shelf option either wanted a cut of the services or kept the client relationship. So we wrote the scheduling engine ourselves — versioned migrations, real availability logic, payment capture at booking.
Your chair, your client. No marketplace in between.
That engine is now shared infrastructure. It's the same booking core we reach for whenever a client build needs scheduling — a large part of why we can move as fast as we do.

What we had to build.
Four-tap booking
Service, stylist, time, done — from the salon's own site, on a phone, without an account.
Scheduling engine
Per-stylist availability, durations, buffers, blocked time and processing gaps.
Deposits & payments
Money captured at booking to kill no-shows, with no cut taken on top of the processor.
Owner dashboard
Revenue, retention, rebooking rate and staff performance — not a booking inbox.
Reminders & SMS
Automatic confirmations and reminders sent from the salon's own name.
Site + SEO
So new clients find the salon directly instead of through someone else's app.
